Day 3-5, 7 hour walks

These last three days I've had a motorcycle and driver to take me to trail heads in order to ensure I get to some really great places while I walk unaccompanied for 7 hours. It's liberating and amazing to spend so much time in a landscape like this, without headphones or expectations.

Evo's New New Year

Celebrations every day all day here in Bolivia. This is the University Club Kermes. I think what is happening is that all of the students dress up as characters that relate to their field of study or traditional costumes, and then they dance together with marching bands and large sculptures, parade style. I love the yellow glow of the street lights. I love how many dias feriados Bolivia has, national holidays where no one has to go in to work. This week, national holidays fell on Thursday and Saturday.
